Extruded Activated Carbon

Carbonaceous materials like anthracite or charcoal are fused together and extruded at high pressure resulting in cylindrical shaped blocks. They offer uniformity, high mechanical strength, and low flow resistance. These characteristics aid in achieving higher adsorption. The diameter of these blocks range from 0.8 to 4.0 millimeters. Owing to their physical characteristics, they are used for gas phase applications.
